Secret Gardens is ten!
2022 - we're celebrating our tenth secret garden open weekend
Next year is a special year as we will be celebrating our tenth open garden weekend event! Since we held our first Bedminster's Secret Gardens open weekend in 2006 (when just nine gardens took part), an amazing 95 gardens across BS3 have opened their gates for people to visit and helped raise over £10,000 to support local good causes. To mark our tenth anniversary, we're planning to make the 2022 Bedminster's Secret Gardens weekend bigger and better than ever. If you'd like to be part of it by opening your garden, register your interest now at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KPYNJY2. We'll be in touch early in the New Year when we start our planning.
Bedminster Lantern Parade
After a years enforce break due to COVID, Bedminster's Winter Lanterns parade will be back in 2022 and we're planning to join in with a blooming lovely lantern to celebrate all the wonderful Blooming Bedminster activities. The lantern parade takes place on Saturday 8 January, we'll be joining in with some lantern making workshops throughout November and December - if you'd like to join in helping make and walk with our Blooming Bedminster lantern in the parade, please let us know bloomingbedminster@outlook.com

Blooming Bedminster Winter Quiz
It might be quiet in the garden, but through the winter we'll be posting occasional quiz questions to test your horticultural knowledge - no prizes, it's just for fun. Could 2022 be the year of the Sociable Street?
For many people streets have become just places for the passage and storage of vehicles, plus a few recycling bins. But residential and commercial streets could be so much more. Groups across BS3 (including Blooming Bedminster) are coming together to discuss the idea of the 'Sociable Street' - neighbourhood streets where people can meet and greet each other as they tend their front gardens, visit local shops, play in and walk or cycle around. Would you like your street to be a sociable street? Maybe it already is and you can help others do the same in their street. If you'd like to find out more or get involved, you can contact Ben Barker benbarker@blueyonder.co.uk
